PROGRAM OVERVIEW
Your organization’s board members serve because they believe in your organization; they believe in your mission and want to contribute to your nonprofit’s successes. Your board members are volunteers and while they are often generous with their time, they only have a limited amount of time to give you. Their primary responsibilities and foci are often elsewhere. They also come from different backgrounds often with little knowledge of the nonprofit world. Most exacerbating of all, however, they are likely to see their roles as board members differently than how you see them contributing.
Recruiting and managing your board is one of your most important tasks but can at times seem your most difficult one. Your new and current board members need training. This is the best way for them to develop the skills and knowledge necessary to successfully fulfill their responsibilities and to make serving on your board a rewarding experience. Training should cover both nonprofit operations as well as possible future strategic developments. Finding the time for training, however, given the part-time nature of your board may be a challenge. This is especially true when balanced against the other responsibilities of board members relating to governance, fundraising, participating in public events, and the like. So, how can you provide the necessary training when time is at a premium?
PROGRAM DESCRIPTION
The Nonprofit Board of Directors Training & Certificate Program may be the answer you are looking for. The program consists of 5 two-hour webinar modules in downloadable format that are self-paced and designed to be viewed by each of your board members on a schedule of their choosing. All you have to do is forward the download links to your board members. Each session focuses on a different area of nonprofit operations. When all your board members have finished viewing the five modules, you can email us their names, and we will send you personalized certificates for each member of the board. These attractive certificates from E-Learning Pro LLC are suitable for framing and will attest to the fact that your board members understand the importance and value of the training they have just completed.
Participating in the Nonprofit Board of Directors Training & Certificate Program offers your board the training they will need to keep up with and ahead of the challenges they’ll likely face both in the short run and over the longer term. In addition, you’ll be demonstrating for your staff, community, and other interested stakeholders the importance of continuing education in a fast-changing operating environment and helping to establish your organization as an industry leader in the area of directors training.
